- ball curves away quickly and dramatically right with no
resemblance to a real golf shot
Diagnosis
Many faults are in the setup
- Is the clubface open
- Is either hand in a weak position on the grip (too far over
to the left)
- Is the ball positioned too far back in the stance
- Is the (majority of the) weight being placed on the heels
- Is the ball being addressed in the hosel (angled section
of the club joining face to shaft)
- Is the grip pressure too tight
Many faults are in the swing
- Is the strike being made from well inside (around the body)

- Or well outside (over the top) the correct swing line
- Is the distance between body and ball being reduced in the
downswing by a forward rock onto the toes
- Is the distance between club and ball being reduced in the
downswing by the arms being thrown out away from the body
- Are the shoulders too dominant in the downswing
- Is the head staying down too long (beyond impact)
