Study the photo right

• Each golf club will have a word/pattern indicating the top of the grip (in the photo right notice the word ‘golf pride’).
• The left thumb should be positioned down the right hand edge of the word.
• The thumb should be retracted/shortened.
• This relieves the tension in the muscles of the left forearm and provides necessary flexibility to create both power and clubface control.
