Symptoms

• The ball flight is too high and to the right of target.
• There is no power in the shot.
• The muscles on the left forearm and back of wrist and hand feel stretched and sore.
• You may be shanking.
  

Diagnosis Study the photo right The left thumb is directly on top of the grip and extend down the shaft so that it is independent from the rest of the hand. Do the hands feel separated and not working as one unit? You may see only one knuckle, the one from your index finger but no others. The flexibility in the wrists is restricted. There will be a feeling of great effort in the swing with nothing to show for it.
