Bottom edge of the clubface at 90º to the target line
Grip showing 2-2½ knuckles of the left hand
Ball position appropriate to club selection
Middle of stance for shortest clubs
Opposite left heel for longest clubs
Hands opposite the inside of the left thigh
Less tee showing above ground - find a personal optimum
Maintain the weight on the inside of the right knee for the
first part of the downswing (pulling the chain). As the hands
pass the right knee the body weight must follow, transfering
all of the weight onto the left side, (See photo).
Check swing thoughts
Imagine the weight transferring from right foot to left foot
following the clubhead in the downswing
Aim for 90% on left foot at finish (see photo)
Think of swinging slower to promote a lower flight
Check equipment
Take care when selecting equipment
Consider offset clubs
Avoid irons designed for extra elevation
Seek the advice of a pro - clubs can be altered to ‘fit’
the individual
