4. Stance

The correct stance will promote good balance, therefore control which in turn will give you the opportunity to create power, through a positive and consistent weight shift.

Check Points From Opposite Photo

Position the outside of the heels no wider than shoulder width apart. This would be for any full
swing regardless of club selection.

Notice how the club is an extension of the left arm with the left arm being comfortably straight and the right arm relaxed with the elbow pointing at the right hip.

The foot positioning is very important. Notice from above how the left toe is turned out towards the target,
- The right foot points straight ahead
- Why?
Positioning the right foot in this fashion reduces any swaying to the right in the backswing.
Positioning the left foot in this fashion encourages the weight to be accepted on the left leg comfortably at final follow through.
